The South Dakota Discovery Center is calling for proposals that will establish or expand Earth Day events in communities throughout South Dakota. The Earth Day event will serve as an outreach venue to connect community members, including families and students, with stewardship opportunities on climate change, protecting America’s waterways, and cleaning up the community. Furthermore, the Earth Day event will also be a focal point of networking and collaboration amongst community asset providers which are those people, places or resources that facilitate understanding of and taking action on environmental issues. An expected result of this networking and collaboration is a product to better identify asset providers to each other and the community at large.
The SD Discovery Center is offering these mini-grants through a partnership with Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota, funded by the US Environmental Protection Agency
