The South Dakota Discovery Center has several opportunities for professional development this summer. We offer hands-on, experiential professional development in content and activities that meet standards and that kids will love!

There is still space in our exciting, field based workshop in partnership with the South Dakota Geographic Alliance. We will be learning low tech and high tech mapping activities including how to map our field studies along the Cheyenne River.

We will be spending three days/two nights paddling the Cheyenne, doing field studies and creating content for a map. We will be outfitted so no gear is necessary but a sense of adventure is! Registration info
