The South Dakota Discovery Center invites you to the best
professional development opportunity ever.
Well, ok, maybe not the best. But the most hands-on, field based and
interesting. 21st Century Skills for Environmental Literacy
will integrate science content, a session with state climatologist Dennis Todey
(or someone from his office) and three days/two nights of field work kayaking
the Cheyenne (assuming there’s water which it looks like there will be).
The dates are June 11-14. We spend one day in the classroom here in Pierre and three days in the field. You will receive 2 graduate workshop credits and a stipend!
You may register online or call us at the South Dakota Discovery Center at 605-224-8295.

No kayaking experience is necessary. No gear is necessary either as we are completely outfitted by Steamboat’s. All you need to bring is your personal gear and a sense of adventure.
